Landscape Context

Curramore Sanctuary is dominated by a mountain called Donavan’s Knob, which reaches 661 m on the north western boundary of the property. Donovan’s Knob dominates the skyline from many points in the ranges and from the upper valley of the Mary River, for which it forms part of a scenic eastern escarpment.
Curramore Sanctuary is strategically located near the Walli State Forest, which is soon to become a National Park. AWC is working with neighbours and the Caloundra City Council to enhance conservation in the region.
